Tessa's toe injury

Poor Tessa got a horrible smashed toe. Mia brought home a shell from girls camp, and the little girls went outside with it. They were trying to brake it open by throwing rocks down onto it. Reese picked up a big rock and threw it down as hard as she could, and it landed on Tessa's poor tiny toe. Reese was crying almost as hard as Tessa :,(

It looked so horrible and sad, but Tessa was so tough. It looked like the layer of skin just all separated from her toe from the force. I decided to keep the skin the help protect her little raw toe underneath, and we gave her clean bandages every day with lots of neosporin.

Seriously such a tough little angel smiling after she got all bandaged up

The literal toughest girl, laughing and smiling through it all.

Almost a week later, and she went swimming today. We've kept it bandaged up and changed the bandage 2-3 times a day as she's been running around and playing. She's such a tough girl

One week later and looking a lot better

Our bodies are amazing!

Today her skin sloughed off and the new skin underneath looks pretty good. Kind of gross, but I can't believe how big this skin that tore off is. Such a tough little girl. And our bodies really are incredible that she's healed this much after a week and a half.
