We are sooo grateful to have a temple so close to us now in Syracuse. Chris and I were honored to be given the assignment on being temple usher supervisors during the two days of the temple open house that our stake was put in charge of, 5/14-15. Chris and I were in charge of the training for all the the ushers in our stake and we had to be there the full day on both days supervising, and making sure everything went smoothly. They were 13 hour days. We left to the temple before our kids woke up, and got home after they were asleep. It was such an incredible thing to be a part of. During those two days my testimony of this and all temples was magnified. I could feel the spirit so strongly in every room and every moment. I am so grateful to be a member of Jesus Christ's restored church. I'm so grateful for the blessing of covenants that bind us to Him, and strengthen and empower us. Temples are just another striking evidence of God's love for us. I'm so grateful.
Unfortunately Chris and I took no pictures, but Mia was able to come volunteer to be a shoe covering youth usher during one of the shifts, and then she and Chris were able to go with the YM and YW in our ward to visit the open house.
