Disneyland

We are so lucky that we got to take all of our kids to Disneyland for four days! It was so cute to see Mia discover her brave, wild side. She rode a lot crazier rides than ever before this trip, and she loved them! It did take her two tries to decide she like Guardians of the Galaxy though :). We searched high and low for Mia's souvenir. We told all the kids they could pick one thing, and Mia thought HARD about what she wanted. After a few days of looking, she decided she wanted a little backpack. We looked everywhere for one, and found that almost everyone was ridiculously expensive (between $75-$140). After some dedicated searching, we found one that was $40 (still expensive, but do-able). Mia was so happy! :)

Rhett was so disappointed that he couldn't ride Incredicoaster. We thought he would be tall enough, but when we went to get in line, he was just a pinky's worth too short. He was so sad. The next day, Mia rode it twice and Rhett begged me to let him see if he was tall enough to ride it that day, "Hey Mom! Can we please go on the Incredicoaster? I got taller last night!" He was so cute and fun, and loved everything! And he was the only one who loved Splash Mountain, which is one of my favorites! :D both Mia and Reesie cried when they got wet, ha ha.

Reesie LOVED Soarin' Over The World. It was her favorite ride. She was too scared to ride it the first time, after just having ridden Guardians of the Galaxy which she was so excited for, and was so scared after ;). After I rode Soarin' with Mia and Rhett I just kept saying and thinking, "Reesie would LOVE this." We finally convinced her to come on it, and I was right. She loved it so much she was jumping up and down :). On the first day, we ran to the new Star Wars ride, Rise of the Resistance. During the ride, when we got taken prisoner by the empire, Mia asked one of the imperial soldiers "Are you good or bad?". The soldier said, "What are you?". Reesie said, "I'm good." and the soldier answered back, "Then why were you with the resistance?" Chris whispered to Reesie, "Don't tell her the secret!" and Reesie hid her face and said, "I won't tell her anything!" We finished the ride and after Reesie was so excited and we were telling her she did such a good job. She said "I didn't tell them the secret!" After riding Star Tours Reesie asked me "Are we back in Disneyland??" :) She did the same thing after Soarin'. It was so sweet and darling that everything was so real to her. She said her favorite part was when she met Rae and Chewie while we were walking. After we'd been there a while, Rhett was talking about how his favorite ride was Guardians of the Galaxy. Reesie said, "I loved Guardians! I was just screaming because it was so fun! And I was just making sad faces to trick!" :D I asked her if she wanted to ride it again and she quickly answered, "NO!" :D

I was so worried about taking Tessa. She's only 18 months, and it was SO hard when we brought Mia and Rhett when Rhett was that same age. But it was SO sweet and wonderful. Looking back, I think the reason it was so hard with Rhett is that he is so active. It was so hard for him to be held all day in lines and on rides. He just wanted to run! But Tessa was the perfect Disneyland baby :). She loves to be held so she loved Disneyland because she HAD to be held all day :). When we saw Mickey Mouse one day, Tessa yelled "Mickey!" and started running to him :) sadly there was a line waiting to meet him, so we had to stop her and make her wait. By the time it was our turn, she wasn't quite as enthusiastic. While driving, we had the kids watching shows in the car, and at one point The Circle Of Life from the beginning of Lion King was playing. Tessa kept yelling "Daaaaahhhhhhh!" to sing along with the beginning of the song :D
