Rhett's Birth

On Saturday the 21st I was having some pretty serious and consistent contractions throughout the day while Chris and I were packing up all of our things and getting ready to move into our new home that had just been finished. By about 2:00 in the morning on Sunday the 22nd, my contractions had been 2 minutes apart for a few hours so I decided to get up and get a bag packed and head to the hospital. After getting up, the contractions slowed so we ended up staying home a while longer, but the contractions kept coming. I labored at home all day until about 6:00 pm when I felt like we really needed to go to the hospital. Mia stayed at Grandma Kim's, and Chris and I got to the hospital around 7:00 pm. When the nurse checked me I was dilated to a 6 and 100% effaced. It was a relief to be admitted to the hospital and know that our little guy would be here soon! We were taken to a delivery room and everything was set up. By 8:00 pm I was dilated to an 8 and I got an epidural. At 10:30 I was dilated to a 10 but my water still hadn't broken so the nurse called the doctor. At about 11:00 the doctor came in and broke my water and I started pushing. At 11:16 pm 11/22/15 Rhett Christopher Brower was born! Seeing, hearing, and holding our new baby for the first time is the most heavenly thing I think I could possibly ever experience.

Rhett Christopher Brower

19.5 inches
7.0 lbs

My mom brought Mia to the hospital the next morning to meet her little brother. Seeing my little munchkins together just melts my heart!

Mia could barely contain her love. I can relate sweetie! :)

After Mia left Chris and I were able to close on our new home at the hospital. We made plans to move in the next day after I was discharged and the keys would be given to us. Even though everything was completely crazy I couldn't stop thinking about how lucky we were to have our perfect little family with all 4 of us together for the holidays in our new home. We could not be more blessed!

Las Vegas

For only the second time in the history of ever, Chris and I took a trip without our sweet little sidekick. Mia stayed with Charise and Grandma Kim while Chris and I headed off to Las Vegas with Aubrey and Landon. Once again, even though I get teary eyed every time I leave sweet Mia and it's sad to be without her, it is so awesome to have one on one time with Chris. I love spending time with him so much!

Mia hanging out with Jonas and Lyla :)

We ate at the best places on this trip! One of the fun places we had breakfast at was the Hash House. Chris' pancake was seriously enormous and everything looked awesome.

We did so many fun things including seeing the Coke and M&M factories, site seeing in a bunch of the casinos, stuffing ourselves with the most amazing food, going to a Cirque de Sole show called La Reve -AMAZING!, shopping at some outlets in Prim, and the boys hit a couple of the roller coasters. Sadly Aubrey and I could't join them because we are so pregnant…:)

Outside the Bellagio, there was a beautiful little lake that had a fountain show every 15 minutes, so you better believe we spend a good 45 minutes to an hour here watching a bunch of them. It was completely beautiful.

37 weeks along!

And our little munchkin missed us a little bit more this time. We're excited to see you again too sweet Mia!

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year. I worked Halloween night, so I missed out on Mia's trick or treating, but we did some celebrating in the weeks leading up to Halloween. Mia painted pumpkins this year, and it was the sweetest little thing :)

Chris and I carved pumpkins with the Brower's, and I love how they turned out.

I did the owl, Chris did the Jazz logo, and Kayla did Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Dylan did Tigger, and Grandma Kim did the 'Trick or Treat' and the jack-o-lantern face.

Mia picked out this Minion costume, and I couldn't have loved it more. It is just the sort of mischievous character my little munchkin should be dressed up as :) She refused to smile or look at the camera so…

I'm 33 weeks (7 1/2 months) along with our sweet little Rhett boy, and we couldn't be more excited! We are dying to meet this little brother of ours! Also, I don't think I can stretch much further, so hurry up little buddy!

Mia turns 2

So sad these pictures turned out kind of blurry because this is the cutest 2 year old face I have ever seen! Mia's birthday was so fun! Chris and I took her shopping with us for presents, and she kept pointing to things she wanted and saying "peese mommy, I yuv it!" So she obviously got spoiled because who can say no to such a thing?? She kept singing the birthday song and pointing at the banner and telling me, "It's Mia's birthday!" I could celebrate this girl everyday…no birthday required! I consider it a success that she made it through two years of life without being kissed, hugged, or snuggled to death. We love you sweet Mia!

One night I was working and at about 11:30 pm I texted Chris and asked him how Mia was doing. He sent me this picture of her in bed with him, watching shows. Apparently she had cried when he tried to put her to bed, and this is how he handled it… :) Your daddy is a sucker for you baby girl.
