Kauai HI

We loved being back in gorgeous Kauai, this time with Dylan and Sammi.  The boys golfed at this gorgeous golf course, Princeville Makai Golf Club. It had gorgeous views overlooking Hanalei Bay, Queens Bath, and beautiful ocean views throughout the course.

My favorite Hawaiian trees with these beautiful orange flowers

We did an incredible hike that goes along the Napali Coast, 2 miles to Hanakapiai Beach and then turns in to the rainforest for another 5 miles to Hanakapiai Falls. The hike along the Napali Coast is pretty amazing, and also pretty grueling. The waterfall was so amazing to make it to.

The rest of our trip took a pretty sad turn. Our kids at home all tested positive for strep throat almost right after we left, and Chris started feeling increasingly sick as we were there. By the 3rd day, he really wasn't up to very much at all. He spent the most of the rest of the trip on the couch, and we took it pretty easy hitting some beautiful beaches and snorkeling. We did rent a surf board and a body board and used those at Hanalei Bay.

Tree tunnel on our way to Poipu for some snorkeling and Puka dogs

We saw a beached sea turtle and a beached seal at Poipu beach. We also had some beautiful snorkeling

We drove up to Wailua Falls

Secret Beach is really beautiful! We did some really cool snorkeling here too! The coral was so tall, it was like swimming through caverns/kind of like a maze. It was so beautiful, but also kind of scary.

 Quick stop at Waimea Canyon
