Mia's 3rd Birthday

Mia's Birthday was so fun! She got princess dresses and a Frozen blanket that she could hardly wait for daddy to come home to open! Then Chris and I took her to see a movie with us for the first time which she loved!

I seriously could not have dreamed up a better baby girl (and believe me, I spent a lot of time dreaming about her). Mia made all my mommy dreams come true. I remember during those first few precious weeks after Mia was born telling Chris all the time that I couldn't wait to do this again. Becoming a mom has been the sweetest thing I have ever experienced in my life!

Mia has such a tender heart. She has so much love for everyone and I am constantly amazed by her sweet thoughts and her loving nature. She has always been a very independent and determined little girl and I absolutely LOVE that about her. She loves being outside and getting dirty, but she also loves dressing up and being a princess. She still is the best sleeper and even though she isn't taking naps anymore she will tell me when she is tired and ready for bed. She also has the sweetest characteristic of working hard and being a good helper. She will help me pull weeds in the garden for over an hour and she always volunteers to help me clean up. She doesn't like when there is a mess, and likes her room to be picked up before going to bed… :) I am so overwhelmed with pride and gratitude that she is ours.

Month #10

Rhett loves windows. He always crawls up to the window, especially the one in Mia's room so he can climb up on her chair and see better. He gets up there and will either lean his head up against the window and stare out or he will bang on the window. Sometimes he bangs on the window with his hand, but usually he bangs it with his head! :) He also loves to yell out the window when it is open. He has started to get upset with us if we have a drink or food that we are not sharing with him, and he will yell to let us know that it's not cool with him :) He says "tiss" and gives kisses if your super super lucky. He also says "mom","dada" and "ya". One of my favorite things is every night when I take him to give Mia and hug and a kiss goodnight, he gets so excited and smothers her with big hugs and open mouth kisses.

I think I'll always be obsessed with my sleeping little boy…

Chris went on a 5 day long business trip to a conference in Las Vegas. It was the longest we have ever been apart since we were married. Even though Chris has gone on overnight scouting trips with the young men and hunting trips, this is the first time that I have ever even spent a full day without seeing him. It was so hard and sad. I don't think I'll ever be able to let him do that again :)… but he did get to go see the Blue Man Group! He said it was amazing.

Mia is so funny! She was wearing this night gown and told me she needed pants. I told her she didn't need any because she was wearing a dress, and the next thing I know, she has Rhett's pants on. These are 6-9 month pants! I couldn't believe she fit in them.

Then the next day I found her wearing tights…:)

Mia always tells Reggie to lay down and then she sits down on her. She thinks it is hilarious (which it kind of is :)) and Reggie is a really good sport about it.

Mia loves her "Dukie"

Mia and Rhett love the park so much!

Rhett's first time on the swings, and he loved it!

A more accurate shirt has never been worn…:)

She wanted me to take a picture of her bun :)

I love my little girl with the wild hair and beautiful smile

Mia loves playing with "Lute". They are like siblings and are always getting into trouble together.

Lately I always find Mia and Rhett covered in lotion together

Mia has been pretty sensitive lately. Sometimes when I tell her I don't want her to do something she will get really upset and run to her room crying. When I go to get her I can hear her in her room saying "My family don't want me. My family don't love me." It is seriously the saddest thing ever. She has also told me "I having a hard day mom." she seriously melts my heart.

The other day when Luke apologized to Mia for something Mia said, "It's ok Luke. I still love you."

Mia had my sports bra and Chris asked her what it was for. Mia told him "It makes your elbows bigger. It's for mommy's elbows."

While getting ready for church one day, Chris whispered in Mia's ear to come and tell me I looked pretty. Mia came over to me and said "We love you sweaty mommy!"
